Month 1 – Building Freaklume From the Ground Up

My name is Tyler Blake. I’m an auto body collision repair technician and painter — fancy way of saying body man.

Bored of current fashion , I made a few shirts for myself. A few people liked them and told me I should sell them.

So I did what I do best — went to work.

I came up with the name Freaklume, designed pieces I’d actually wear, and built the site from scratch. Freaklume officially launched on January 31, 2026.

I set up Facebook ads at $3 a day — not to get rich, but to test if there was real interest.

So far? For being this early, the response has surprised me. The site gets steady visits. Almost every day there’s an add to cart.

I have sold to a couple people close to me, which means alot. Now I'm working towards the first organic sale of my own.

I underestimated what goes into building a clothing brand. It's been humbling.

You’re not just designing shirts.

You’re learning marketing.

Website structure.

Customer psychology.

Brand voice.

Even modeling your own product.

It’s uncomfortable at times — putting yourself out there.

But I don’t quit easily. Freaklume isn’t a hype drop. It’s a long term build. One month down. Watch it grow.
